Knotty Stone pine

The Stone pine or stone pine (“Queen of the Alps”) grows in the high mountains. Their positive properties for human well-being have been known for many centuries. Due to the high content of wood constituents, Stone pine wood has a pleasant, long-lasting fragrance. The fragrance is described as “mild, round, warmly vibrating, like dry needles in the autumn sun”. However, the fragrance changes over time. With old Stone pine it is much warmer, fuller and has a floral note. And it even reminds me a little of incense and vanilla.
